As the sun sets on summer here in HB...and we begin redecorating our store for fall…we would like to thank everyone who visited our small beach town of Huntington Beach…also known as Surf City, USA…and also our funky little store. My girls are the best at keeping it real and always bringing down home hospitality to everyone who walks in the door.
Just a few thousand, million, billion of the footprints left in the sand from our lovely visitors. They come from far and wide…Europe, Japan, Brazil…pretty much the whole globe.
And they all have a story as to why they are here. One of the busiest times is when we host the U.S. Open of Surfing for two weeks every summer. It is like the U.N. of surfing…except with music. An amazing event.
Not to be outdone by the complete insanity that is 4th of July here. This I cannot describe. It is the biggest 4th of July celebration west of the Mississippi. You must see photos, for it is not normal.
And Nigel would like to bid adieu to the dreaded Sprinkler Monster. He fought many, many battles against this most formidable opponent this summer…(most of them he lost) but he has the courage of a lion and the heart of a muppet…and will never give up trying.
Happy Fall Trails!
