…5th anniversary party…

store-3It was five years ago this April that we opened our Island Cowgirl Flagship Store in downtown Huntington Beach.

It was a bold move on my part…mostly because I never had given much thought to having a retail store…already having my hands full with our wholesale division. It has been brought up many times by family, friends & clients but I always brushed it off a crazy. Where in the world would I find the time?

Then one day I was walking near the pier and saw a “For Rent” sign on a store front. And what a grand location…right near the ocean on the Main Street…and only a few blocks from my house.  Peeking through the window…it looked like the perfect size. What could it hurt to call?

So I called and met the owner, Bob. And everything just kind of fell into place from there. We had to build it out and then stock it up…it was definately a learning experience…and there were growing pains. (Not to mention the greatest recession since the great depression came to our great country that fall after we opened.)

But along the way we grew together. The store. Me. My employees. It took on a life of its own. And I think we have all created something we are immensely proud of.

We are going to celebrate all of our trials & tribulations, sweat & tears…and good fortune on April 18th, 2013 between 6-9PM. We would be honored for you to join us!

About Island Cowgirl Jewelry

Write something about myself? hmm..I am scared of fish dead or alive. I make a mean margarita. I make jewelry and am obsessed with horses. I break at the bend. I believe life is too short for TV. I believe that dogs really do smile. And I believe that without hope all magic is lost. So there.
