This is my horse.
His name is Sunny…also known as Sunny Bunny…sometimes just Bunny or on occasion Porkchop. Or Chubby Checkers.
He is pretty darn cute and tons of fun. A big goofball with hair. He makes my day most days….I always wander down to the barn at the end of the day to spend some time with him…he nickers when he sees me coming.
Horses teach you things about yourself you never knew. Like patience. Horses are really good at making you give up first.
They also make excellent mirrors. They pretty much reflect right back at you what you are projecting at that moment. They have a unique ability to show you what you look like to the world. It is all about energy & body language for them.
And what most people don’t know is that horses have a sense of humor. Sunny likes to tip over the saddle stand over when I turn my back. And if I turn around to catch him…he will look off wistfully in the other direction…but then as soon as I turn my back again…he will push it over with his nose. And then stand there as if to say…”Wow…who did that? It wasn’t me…”
Horses are a gift. If you are ever lucky enough to have one in your life…you will never be the same again.
