sunkissed day*

On a beautiful Saturday morning a few weeks ago…we made our way to Georgia to help out Sunkissed Acres in their annual fundraiser. My very first employee & good friend, Sheila, was visiting from California so she wanted to come along and help out. It was so nice having her along for the ride…and she was even lucky enough to be a judge in the costume contest.

fundraise-Collage2There was a bake sale, hay rides, a costume contest complete with horses & children and of course our jewelry. My mother-in-law was kind enough to make her world famous Rice Krispies Cupcakes for the bake sale… and 100% of the proceeds were donated to Sunkissed Acres.

We would like to say a special thank you to Becky from Day Lilly Horse farm and all of her volunteers for opening her doors, organizing and putting on the event…it was a lot of work and her farm is so sweet & charming…it is clear that the children she teaches loves it as much as she does.

The event was a great success and went home full of sunshine, cupcakes and the spirit of having done something worthy. Thanks for letting us be a part of it…

About Island Cowgirl Jewelry

Write something about myself? hmm..I am scared of fish dead or alive. I make a mean margarita. I make jewelry and am obsessed with horses. I break at the bend. I believe life is too short for TV. I believe that dogs really do smile. And I believe that without hope all magic is lost. So there.
