’tis the tradeshow season*

It’s that time of the year again…when we pack up all of our jewelry…new designs and all and hit the trade shows. I just returned from AmericasMart Atlanta and it is always one of my favorites. Southern hospitality is their specialty.

We spent a lot of time redesigning our booth for the show…and I feel like it was our best booth yet! We added a bunch of fresh cut flowers which I feel really brought it to life!

The best part is seeing all of my friends, fellow artists, designers and customers. Although it is grueling with all the setup, shopping, travel & schlepping etc…there is a camaraderie among us all and a spirit that we are all in this together.

I had a particularly awesome dinner with my good friend Jen from Silver Spoon Jewelry, Matt from Houston Llew and Laurie from LPE Clay. All of who I call my dear friends and who we are proud to carry in our new Leipers Fork Store. Check out their websites because they are supremely talented. I also spent some time with Jen Raines from Quirks of Art in Williamsburg, VA who not only was at my wedding but has become a wonderful friend throughout the years. I have missed seeing her and catching up.

It was a great show…both for hocking my wears and also for finding new products for our soon to be two stores.

But of course…I was so happy to get home to my family and the smell of fresh cut grass & horses.

About Island Cowgirl Jewelry

Write something about myself? hmm..I am scared of fish dead or alive. I make a mean margarita. I make jewelry and am obsessed with horses. I break at the bend. I believe life is too short for TV. I believe that dogs really do smile. And I believe that without hope all magic is lost. So there.
