A little fall inspiration from Nashville, Libby and our little farm…
We did it! Our little country store in Leipers Fork is now open and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone pitched in and lent a hand…a big thanks to Ann, my husband’s Mom, who worked tirelessly helping us price everything and clean. Continue reading
…enjoying the rain outside the garage…mostly because it’s not 111 degrees today…painting the new sign & rocking chairs for our new Leipers Fork store…I love the mud paint I decided to try on a whim…it is the most delicious shade of blush. And it goes right over anything…no stripping needed. We are going to glam these up with some sterling plaques…and they will sit on the old fashioned porch out side the new store. Continue reading
Howdy…Besides being in the middle of Tradeshow season we have some exciting news! We are proud to announce our new store which will be opening in Leipers Fork, TN.
For those of you who have been following along with our move to Nashville in the past year you know that part of the reason we moved here was that we fell in love with the little village of Leipers Fork. Continue reading
“there are only two days in the year that nothing can be done…one is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow. So today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live…” ~ dali lama
So…you learn a lot when you live on a farm. Not the least of which is that cream colored rugs have no business being anywhere in your life. Not with two horses and a dog. And mud. And hay. And dirty boots.
I was in love with this vintage rug that I got in Turkey…It was just the right amount of faded and vintage blue. For about 2 months. Then it slowly turned a brownish grey with dirt stains. And then it was pretty much done. I folded it up and replaced it with something more practical. Continue reading
Here are a few postcards from the farm this spring…We moved to Tennessee one year ago this May on a wing and a prayer…with the wind at our back we sold our beach house in California and moved across the country. In the past year we have opened a store, built a farm, a barn, got another horse and learned a lot that we didn’t know about living on the land. It has been a wild ride…but we wouldn’t trade it for anything… Continue reading
This is Libby. Liberty Belle…A.K.A. the pesky instigator, my little red, white & blue eyed girl and my little dirty hippie chick.
“Why do I ride horses?
Because I look at my horse and I see my hopes and dreams. I see my happiness. I see my pride and my soul. I look at my horse and I see myself…” Continue reading
Libby chillin’ with Flat Stanley…
Flat Stanley was sent to us from a little girl in California…and we were proud to be a part of her project…Liberty Belle thought he was pretty dang funny…
We popped by the Leipers Fork Yard sale last weekend…It is a fund raising event for Leipers Fork & the surrounding communities…The proceeds of the event are placed in a community fund and are given to people in the community as needed. This may include utility bills, groceries & presents for children at Christmas time. Continue reading
As you know we LOVE flea markets, barn sales, antique stores and pretty much anything retro…so when we found these salvaged window frames at our friend Heide’s store Village Vintage in Leipers Fork we knew we had to make them into something cool. Continue reading
