Who goofs off on the job? No silly Sallys around here! No sir! We get down to business!
This may appear to be a fluffy english sheepdog, but Nigel, he’s is all about focus! No shenanigans are tolerated while he’s on set! He directs production.
Oh and don’t let the eyes fool you… Bonnie Bell is our lead styling assistant here, she tries to stay behind the scenes.
It’s all quiet serious really. No funny business. WORK. WORK. WORK. Just kidding… We love this stuff and we laugh all day long.
Its good to be an Island Cowgirl!
Keep an eye out for our new lifestyle photography, coming soon to the site!

How romantic…a beautiful article on one of the most flocked to spots for couples in the city of lovers, Paris! Such a unique and grand display of love, touched by couples from all over the world… one day I will most definitely go and add my own lock of love!
Our favorite time of year… Valentines day is almost here! Our display is chalk full of wonderful gift ideas for your sweet heart this V day! We admit, we may have gone a bit crazy with the hearts… but, we kind of love it!
Romance is in the air! People tend to have mixed emotions toward this holiday… It has become over commercialized and a lot of folks feel it is a bit excessive. But, and that is a big BUT… it doesn’t have to be cheesy or showy. It is after all a day to celebrate love! Love in every shape and size is a wonderful thing to celebrate! Get together with the ones you love whether it be your spouse, your special some one, your kids, or even your dog and do something fun! Do something to celebrate life, love and happiness! It doesn’t have to revolve around dinner reservations and a big showy display of affection! Take a walk, go for a picnic, pick some wild flowers, watch the sunset and share a laugh! It is a great thing to show appreciation and consideration for the ones we care about! This holiday isn’t a time to be cynical, it is however a great excuse to be thankful and SHOW YOUR LOVE!
We are starting a new tradition here at Island Cowgirl, were calling it the monthly get-away… we are going to take you on a journey with our jewelry to a destination fitting the jewelry’s inspiration. Our August style is called the Boho Beach Babe….
We went on an boardwalk beach cruiser adventure… a little trip to the beach. We played in the sand and surf taking photos of our jewelry in its natural element… by the seaside.
We went a little bead crazy, necklaces and bracelets are strung with all sorts of gorgeous stones. Several of our new one of a kind necklaces were inspired by the rosary style, they can be worn as a normal necklace also.
We have super cute, funky, original one of a kind silver bracelets…
Each of our beaded bracelets is so detailed! Each stone was individually selected for its specific tone and shape, and every charm was selected to accent each unique color palate to create the perfect beaded charm bracelet.
Stop in to our Flagship store located on Main Street in Downtown Huntington Beach to get a closer look… or call in the speak with one of our sales people directly about purchasing these gorgeous one of a kind pieces…
We have the best customers. Yesterday I received a beautiful, heartfelt email from someone just reaching out to me in a random act of kindness. To let me know what Island Cowgirl means to her…and I am reminded again why I do what I do.
It is so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day chores of running a business and everything that goes into it…that sometimes we feel disconnected from what really matters. This is a common theme among my artist friends & I. We talk about this a lot. A LOT.
It meant the world to me that she took a tiny piece out of her day to write such a sweet email…and it pulled me back into the now, the present & reminded me that living in the moment is ever so infinitely important…so much so that I could almost smell the salt air and sun on my toes on that beach in Hilton Head.
Here is her letter:
Hi Gals!
I feel like we’re old friends now!
Thank you for ALL the wonderful jewelry; it makes me happy, everyday, to pick out my outfits based on the Island Cowgirl bling I’m wearing;) (and inspires me in my own work). I feel genuninely uplifted and joyful, wearing your pieces. They are truly filled with VERY beautiful energy…thank you! Enjoy the photo, taken from Hilton Head Beach, my neck of the woods on the opposite coast;) (starfish anklet). Peace & Blessings.
Me & my girls! Thanks to my great staff for all the hard work! (Aren’t they cute?)
My heart is full right now. And my customers are the greatest. I just wanted to put that out there.
Last week we had a shindig at our little store by the sea to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We spent the day making sure everything was just perfect..we had gift baskets to pack and cakes to pick up and little gourmet appetizers to make…it was a group project to be sure…and all of my awesome employees were there to help.
Our goal was to make this a great thank you party to everyone who has supported us over the years. It was important to me that if someone took time out of their life to show up…that they were not disappointed. I believe each moment of everyone’s life is precious.
What really blew me away was how I ended up going away with more gifts than I feel we gave. A friend of mine, Bronny Dainiels, who is also a professional photographer was there snapping pictures of all of our goodies when I arrived. She managed to, completely unasked and unsolicited, captured the spirit of our whole evening…start to finish. And the photos were in my inbox when I woke up.
Bronny Daniels- photographer extraordinaire…
Customers brought me flowers. They brought me heartfelt handmade cards. Food. Cupcakes. (Rice Krispies cupcakes which were gone in a flash…don’t worry…I am getting the recipe for all of you) Bottles of wine.
But most of all they shared stories with me. Stories of how they gave Island Cowgirl Jewelry as a gift to someone who needed inspiration. Stories of the artists they had discovered at the store and how much that meant to them. I heard over and over again…”We are so glad you are in Huntington Beach…we love your store so much”. Wow. Their overwhelming spirit of generosity was amazing.
One wonderful customer, when she learned that a portion of the days sales were going toward Sunkissed Acres Equine Rescue bought even more. Including a big wood starfish that she would have hand carry on the plane the next day on her trip back home to Florida. But she wanted to help the horses.
The last gift basket of the evening was raffled off at 9PM. It went to a woman whose elderly mom had been there earlier. She said her mother often bought Island Cowgirl jewelry for her on her birthday…but that tonight she was a little short on funds and could not buy anything, but that she wanted to be at the party tonight to help us celebrate.
Her daughter had come back to the store in hopes that her mom may win the gift basket…because it would mean so much to her. And she did. I told her it was meant to be…And so everyone went home happy on this fine spring night…Me with my full heart. My peeps. And the horses. It doesn’t get much better than that.
